In 2000, Ryan Ward in partnership with his brother Jeff Ward opened the first Fat Jack's on East Colfax Avenue with the hope of creating not just another chain sub shop.   They wanted to create a place that has become a rarity.  In the day and age where the sandwich shop has become just another piece to the corporate puzzle, the Ward brothers wanted something different.  They wanted a neighborhood place with a neighborhood feel, where they knew you and you knew them.  All while serving the BEST SUB IN TOWN! 

Using the finest ingredients, employing quality neighborhood folks, and providing great friendly service, their dream became a reality.  In 2003, a second Fat Jack's was born, in the University of Denver area. As Fat Jacks continued to grow, Mark Ward, the last of the Ward brothers, was brought onboard to continue the family-feel at each Fat Jack's.  The Ward brothers take pride in each and every sub they serve and they know that you will agree.

As the years have passed, Fat Jacks has taken a great pride in providing some of Denver’s most important and well known businesses with unbeatable service and outstanding subs. From Denver Health and Children’s Hospital, to the Pepsi Center, to ALL other local venues for sport and music, Fat Jack is proud to have established great relationships with all of these outstanding businesses, and look to do so for years to come.

Recently, in 2010, a third Fat Jack’s Supersubs was opened, and the same great people that have supported the local sub shop in years past, have once again flocked to experience the great customer service and unmatched sandwich that Fat Jack’s provides. As the once small sandwich shop has grown into a city staple, Fat Jack’s has continued to provide the BEST SUB IN TOWN, to the great people of this city we call DENVER!
